Dubya: Fashion Fascist!

With 543 days left in office, George W. Bush has beefed up security at the White House so much, he's now enlisted the services of one of the most dreaded forces in the Western world -- the Fashion Police!
Pres. Bush
Despite approval ratings at record lows, the ongoing war in Iraq and a health care system in dire straits, Dubya has decided to take on the very serious issue of -- tour group attire! The terror alert has been raised to: Fanny Pack! Signs have reportedly been put up around White House entrances to remind visitors of the dress code: no jeans, sneakers, shorts, mini-skirts, t-shirts, tank tops, and most importantly, NO FLIP FLOPS! Paging the Northwestern women's lacrosse team!

With the new policy, the White House now has a more stringent dress code than the Vatican! Further proof that Bushie wants only conservatives in his White House. The Pontiff merely asks for covered shoulders, no shorts or skirts above the knee. Holy chic!

4. Once upon a time, people used to have to dress for work in "business attire". What is wrong with that? People are too lazy today and expect the world to roll over for them. If you work in the White House, you should still wear business attire. I realize that working at TMZ is probably flip-flop, pantiless heaven, but there are people out there who do work in professionnal environments and should be expected to dress professionally.

7. Someone needs to forward this to our government leaders. DO WE SERIOUSLY HAVE NOTHING MORE TO WORRY ABOUT THAN WHAT PEOPLE WEAR? HAS THE MAN LOOKED IN THE MIRROR LATELY.

$10 Billion a month on the war/New Orleans a disaster zone two years after a storm/gas at an all time high/a government that makes decisions based on their party name rather than what the country wants or needs, and all that's really important is Flip Flops and Jeans. Dear God!!! Our Government leaders are an embarrassment.

10. Yo - #3 - Read it again....They're talking about tour groups - you know....people on vacation...not the people that work there.

11. These are for people touring the White House not the employees. For goodness sakes let folks wear what they want when touring and on vacation! It's rediculous. BTW.. we've got a war going on in case you forgot George.

13. Someone needs to remind George the lesser that he doesn't own that house.

14. I am by no means a Bush fan (who is), but do you seriously think that Bush himself made that decision? It was probably made by a White House administrator doing their job who has no input into the Iraq war or Katrina or any of the other serious that we are not dealing with appropriately. It is not appropriate to wear shorts, jeans or flip flops to work when you are working in the nation's capital.

15. TMZ is the coveted place where Lindsay Blowhan and Embarrass Hilton have more comments related to stories about them than the more serious issues like what's going on in Dubya.

hmmmmmm
